A bride price for Juba TalksAs the people of Northern Uganda and Southern Sudan agonise over what the next regarding a peaceful settlement of the war that has plagued them for over 2 decades, the people who claimed to be talking on their behalf are back in the comfort of Manchester, Nairobi, London and Washington. Having pocketed the free allowance during the talks, they are now bragaining for more, castigating the mediator and bringing up issues that they should have aired out well before. We on this blog have kept quiet since the end of the year while we toured East and Central Africa, as well as the Scandanavian coountries and America to reflect on what took place in Juba. We have discovered a lot of things which over the next few weeks we shall be revealing through this blog.
